The XVIII Encounter of the Sao Paulo Forum which took place in Caracas, Venezuela, approved a resolution in favor of Puerto Rican independence, against the celebration of a plebiscite and for the freedom of Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera, imprisoned in the US.
