Stop The Repression! All Out to the Federal Building Jan 10@5pm!

On Thursday, January 10, 2008, the National Boricua Human Rights Network will sponsor a picket at the Federal Plaza downtown at 5pm, Dearborn and Jackson, to denounce the recent FBI repression that has occurred in New York City. Five individuals, all supporters of the independence of Puerto Rico, have been visited by the FBI and three of the five have been served subpoenas to appear in front of a federal grand jury.

Join us in saying no to FBI repression and to the use of the grand jury as a repressive tool.

The National Boricua Human Rights Network (NBHRN) is an organization composed of Puerto Ricans in the US and their supporters that educates and mobilizes the Puerto Rican community, the broader Latin American community and other people of conscience regarding issues of justice, peace and human rights. Our priorities include: (1) An end to the continuing political repression and criminalization of progressive sectors of the Puerto Rican community; and 2) The decontamination, development, and return of the island of Vieques to its people.
