Activists from 6 cities gathered last weekend to push the National Boricua Human Rights Network campaign to free Oscar López Rivera forward. NBHRN chapters and contacts from Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Providence, San Francisco and Chicago were present as well as López family members and Oscar’s lawyer, Jan Susler, of the Peoples Law Office. The principal discussion involved the Network locating itself in the present moment in our community work, as well as in the other dissident movements in the US.
