Over the past 40 years, Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School has stood as a beacon for students and families seeking a culturally grounded educational experience. Carlos Alberto Torres, who was released on parole in 2010, and Oscar López Rivera, who will soon be starting his 32nd year in prison for struggling for Puerto Rican independence, were 2 of the co-founders of this amazing educational institution. Over this time the school has developed a liberatory vision and pedagogy grounded in the experiences and understanding of the Puerto Rican reality. Join the celebration of their 40th Anniversary on January 26th!
