To make a stand and statement, in fighting for social justice. If it wasn’t for Oscar Lopez Rivera and countless others, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. It is time for our government to pardon a man that has done so much not only for our community but our city behind bars. Despite never meeting Oscar, his vision in living and helping others to live has taught me to never waste my talents and seize every opportunity that comes my way. In solidarity, I’m giving a day to a man, that has given his life.
