Sending commissary to the Patriots
In November 2004, the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) changed the guidelines for sending federal prisoners commissary. If anyone wants to send money to our patriots, it must be sent to the following address and in the following manner:
The BOP has established a centralized processing facility for all inmate funds. Effective November 1, 2004, all funds for inmates must be sent to the National Lock Box location at the following address*:

1. You must send all funds to the mailing address (above) and adhere to the following instructions.
2. The Bureau of Prisons will only approve/accept the following items, which it calls “negotiable instruments”:
• Money orders,
• Government checks,
• “Foreign negotiable instruments”
• Business checks.
NOTE: Personal checks will not be accepted by the prison authorities and will be returned to the sender.
3. Print the prisoner’s committed name and register on the funds (”negotiable instruments”).
4. The name and return address of the sender must appear in the upper left hand corner of the envelope to ensure that funds can be returned when necessary.
5. Don’t send items other than funds to the above provided address. The Bureau of Prisons will discard letters, pictures and anything else you send.
* Effective December 1, 2004, the institution mailroom will no longer accept funds received from any source outside the institution. All funds received after that date will be returned to the sender.
